Reading Product Lables – Things to Avoid

We have to become aware of things that are poisoning our bodies. This is the first in a series that will help you to identify these toxic substances that are a daily part of our lives. We have to become aware of them, so READ YOUR LABLES!

In Food:

Man made (synthetic) chemicals

The body doesn’t recognise them and treats them like toxins, increasing our toxic load and overtaxing our systems, especially harmful in children’s undeveloped metabolisms!

This will include emulsifiers, preservatives, MSG, colourants & flavourants.

And especially aspartame, a neurotoxin, found in almost all sugarfree (light) products!

In Cleaning Products:

Hand dishwashing detergents

May be loaded with Chloro-o-phenylphenol, a metabolic stimulant, and Naphtha, a neurotoxin that can cause serious mental malfunction.

Both are considered hazardous waste; they also break down slowly in the environment and can contaminate air and water.

In Body Products:

Petrolatum

Also known as mineral oil jelly, liquid vaseline, paraffinum liquidum and baby oil. Can cause photosensitivity and strips natural oils from the skin, causing chapping, dryness and premature ageing. Prevents elimination of toxins and can cause acne and other disorders.
